SPN Fic search
God, this has been driving me nuts all morning, and considering that I got up at 5am to work on an assignment (and actually did assignment *boggle*) it's been driving me nuts for hours now.
I'm trying to remember a Supernatural fic. I'm pretty sure it was a five things fic, and one of the parts has a pre-series Dean and Sam taking off one night from a motel room. John spends months tracking them, and eventually traces them to an abandoned farmhouse/shack etc where they're doing just fine. The exchange is something like:
"Come back, please?"
Dean's grabbed Sammy's shirt to stop him running forward, and says: "We have conditions."
John stares and spreads his hands wide. "I'm listening."
