See-saw day

mood-wise anyway.

Walked into uni with two assignments due and two hours of work to do. Finished the first assignment and handed it in before work, and felt all proud and glad to see the back of it. Shelved like crazy at work, went back to the main library and tried to do the second assignment. 400 words to go at 3.30pm and I sort of seized up. Went to see my tutor and he said "no problem, hand it in on Wednesday" (uni dies from Friday to Tuesday. What's with the Tuesday thing?)

I explain that I'm going to New Norcia on Tuesday and not coming back til Friday, and decide to just force out the last few hundred words, until I find out the office where we hand in the assignments is closing today at 4.45. Because I've been rushing about failing to organise insurance forms for said New Norica trip that means I've got about half an hour to do 400 words plus edit. I panic quite a bit until I decide to give up and head for the house of B'n'D for some [livejournal.com profile] wobowikkles love and Sook therapy.

It works a treat, and end up going to Fremantle for a rather yummy dinner with [livejournal.com profile] wobowikkles and [livejournal.com profile] haunted_attics and training it home while they went on to the Mountain Goats's concert. (Mostly managed to not sulk over ticket-sold-out-ness). Was utterly seduced and delighted by Guy Gavriel Kay between Fremantle and Perth, then was irritated at self for not sticking up for a guy the transit cops arrested between Perth and Midland.

Tomorrow is knocking off the last of the unfinished assignment (I think I'll need to get Dad to post it on Tuesday morning and cross my fingers it gets there by Wednesday), and digging into archives back-readings and preparations.

Share with me...

Yesterday, a friend closed a flocked post with a question and because there is something about it that gives me a little thrill of delight, I'd like to open the question up to my circle of friends:

Share something with me. Who are you, right now?
