Bird-lovers eat your hearts out!
Actually, this might be really common, but for our backyard? I think not.
We just had a sacred ibis wander around our backard, and spook the ducks a bit.
Sacred Ibis.
Perfect photo opportunity, but we had no operational camera. *sigh*
On a slightly related note, I'm considering getting a mobile with a camera for Christmas (or at least using Christmas as an excuse) Sort of like a camera I also use for emergencies. Preferably one would I be able to insert my sim card into. Anyone know what sort of price ranges I'd be looking at, or whether it's a worthwhile exercise?

On a bird related note my dad has adopted a pink and grey galah (sp?) he found by the side of the road (decided to keep it when he was told it would never fly again).
And with camera phone, it boils down to how much your willing to spend. You can get a cheap one (about $200) with ok picture quality. The more your spend, the better the picture quality gets. Upwards of about $300 dollars and you get digital camera quality pictures and the ability to record short movies.
(I would like to point out these are very rough estimates of prices, based on what I've seen. Feel free to correct me)
