In my suddenly created break between tute and lecture

I'm sitting at one of the library uni computers because the crowd has finally settled down enough for me not to feel guilty about frivolously typing an LJ entry. So far this week I've had one tute and one lecture of a four tute, one lecture week. The tutor in the lecture this morning made a plea for some students to move from the tute straight after the lecture to the 2-4pm tute this afternoon. So here I am. I've met both my tutors (they're both taking two tutes) and they're both really enthusiastic about their records/archiving and information units respectively, which helps a lot for dry-information courses like this one. I think I'm going to be just fine.

Money's tight though. I get $50 a week from my folks which is about ten dollars a (uni) day for food, drink and general sustenence with a bit left over to save. In the first week I needed to buy a $39 multirider, at least one $40 textbook (dunno what my other two units hold in terms of books yet) and start paying back dad in increments for my part of the broadband purchase (basically, the wireless connection part). Plus there's my licence due for renewal soon (20th) and a $110 guild services tax out there somewhere. Watch me buy the main caf luch specials -- the "hot roast roll" which turns out to be warm ham. /melodrama.

In other much happier news I'm going to be housesitting (technically, it's only moving next door, but I so don't care) from the 6th until possibly the 26th. Yay! They're going to New Zealand for a holiday, taking the baby and leaving the dog. She wants to stay until the 26th and he wants to come back earlier. Either way, I can't wait!.

Sounds like you need to get a part time job ;) Maybe you can also take food from the house to save your money, I know its not cool but its food and every dollar counts! I must say your parents are very generous my mother couldnt afford to give me money at that age so I had to work for it while I was at Uni ... K
