In one of my units, there are two assignments and one exam. The assignments are worth 30% each, and the exam 40%. I just got my second assignment back with 25/30. This is the same mark as the first assignment. I've passed the unit before I've even sat the exam. 50% in the exam will get me a distinction. *boggle*
I would kill for "Up All Night", one of the Waifs' CDs. I've seen them play live more than I've actually listened to their music, so I can picture them playing so vividly, and it adds a whole delicious level to the listening. Unfortunately, ethics etc, are stepping in and refusing to let me steal their music via download and the budget is tight(*), I so shall wait and plead it as a b'day pressie from the grandparents or something.
Question: I'm thinking it's *really* bad form to go to a booksigning with second hands books, yes? **
* My original budget for going to Continuum had me being the third person in a room and on a $50 a night roll-out bed. Now that I'm the second person in a room there's an added $35 a night, which meant I crawled to my parents and asked for part of my ticket as a b'day pressie. This has relaxed things slightly and frees up $200 for vital things like books, and less essential things like food.
**Adds a 'books' section to the budget.
