Friday night and X3

Last night was wonderful and precisely what I needed. *showers thanks on the RL flist people.* Thanks so much :)

And my assignment draft is beside me and open in my toolbar, but first there must be lustful and regretful sighing. I was told last night that Summer Glau was going to be in X-men 3. Summer Glau and Anna Paquin? ohmygod. No words other than gaahhhh...

So I went digging to confirm and found that Summer auditioned for the part of Kitty, around the middle of the year and recognised the piece she read as Joss's work (how cool is that!), but it doesn't appear she got the part. IMDB lists Kitty as being played by Ellen Page. If anyone can find something that says she got the part, I will weep with joy and adore you forever, but so far I think we're left with our imaginations. *sigh*

Assignment update

Yay! I'm up to 2,000 words! Okay, technically that means I only wrote about 250 words today, but I'm ignoring that bit and focussing on the fact that I thinkthinkthink the section I've been working on is done, and I can move onto the next one.

And the word limit for this assignment is 3,000. The word counts are a lot kinder in the Grad Dip than in my BA. It's always "essay/report up to X" rather than "an essay/report of X words". For a struggler-of-words like myself, this helps take the stress off, although I think I'll be close to 3,000 for this one.

Random fangirl moment

Flipping through the street directory I've found a Janet street, and right above that on the map is a Hammond street. And I thouht my Stargate obsession had ebbed slightly! Ha!
