I'm currently feeling stressed and out of sorts with the double whammy of an 'oh, crap, that was a stupid mistake' stress, and the 'hey, if I'd started this yesterday, like I should have...' stress. My body isn't wild about the heat, either.

So, in an effort to distract myself, a change of thinking:

I am grateful for cool, drinkable water that comes straight out of the tap.

I am grateful (in cooler weather!) for the ability to wash my hands in warm water. There's something very soothing about it.

I am grateful for snatches of phrases like: "be they sleeping or… doing something else...They will feel themselves...sort of crappy." (11th of March!) and the rhythm of "for the invention of the wheelbarrow and the existence of the teapot, we give thanks".

I am grateful for the internet for endless distractions, and for creating that little spark of contact with people on the other side of the world.

I am grateful for knitting, for the soothing rhythm and the gradual creation.

I am grateful for fic, and for plot bunnies, even when they do attack in the middle of dinner.

I am grateful to the lot of you. *squishes*
