Yesterday evening I got home to a letter from the Department of Culture and Arts saying that unfortunately on this occasion my application for a level one recruitment pool of library officers was not selected for further consideration. Will be calling people tomorrow for feedback, but level one. It stung.

So, feeling abruptly unemployable (despite the fact that, like, I have a job), I went and checked LJ then email. Some lovely, gorgeous unknown person has nominated me for the Stargate Fan Awards 2005!! OK, it's not like you can see a list of the noms or anything yet, but still.

Let's Just Go Home is nominated in the Best Janet Fraiser Tribute Story Category
Oh, the joy!! The squeeage!!

Do I know who you are? Are you reading this? If you are: you made my damn week, month, year... THANK YOU!

Thanks! That initial squee rush hasn't quite worn off yet *crosses you off the list* This is starting to eat at me! :D

And I totally know what you mean about mood nose-diving. It can be this tiny, insignificant thing (or it often is for me, anyway) and suddenly everything's all *crash*. *cuddles you*
