Pretty good. I usually look at the money made per screen, since not every movie gets released in the same number of theaters. Going by that measurement, Serenity made the most.

For Serenity, it's good. For a regular movie, it's holding it's own. Dukes of Hazzard I think averaged about $8 million/wk but then it appealed to teenage boys and men. Also, the first weekend isn't particularly a good indicator. The second weekend we'll see if people are still interested. I hope so. I really want to see them get the TV show again. I really really want that.

God, yes, me too. But it sounds like Joss is focussing/hoping for a trilogy of movies rather than a return to TV. Which is fabulous in its own way, but not quite a TV series! :S

Hmm, updated figures say it's still #2, and it made 10.1 million in the three days its been open. Now, that sounds mind-blowingly good to me, but a quote from the same site:

Best case scenario is $10 million on Friday alone and the sequels being given the go ahead by Saturday. Worse case scenario is $10 million over the entire weekend and a quick exit from theatres.

Has me mighty worried now!

:::le sigh:::

I wants the TV series. There's more to see and more immediate. I hate waiting a year or so to see what to me is essentially a really long ep. Plus, more character development on TV.
