Plus question. My icon is a cropped bit from a larger image. Said image exists on my hard drive but I think the webpage that it once also resided at has died and gone to Internet heaven. Is there a way of getting that image into a post so people can see the whole thing?

As for posting whole pic, you need to have somewhere to serve it from (a website). I'm not sure if there's an LJ paid account that has this feature. The FAQ polly has info on it somewhere.
