I spent a lovely night with
mynxii and
kae_dash. Watched Phantom of the Opera at last, and had a mocha and french toast for breakfast in the city. Yum. However, staying at someone else's house means there's no music in the morning, and no space to dance and now my body's rather savagely: "Hi! Forgotten something?" and I'm randomly tapping my feet and counting the hours. *twitch*
Yesterday I was sitting reading under a tree (uni has the remains of a pine plantation), waiting for my shift to start. It wasn't until I got to work and had sat down in my boss's chair that I realised I'd also been sitting (presumably) on tree roots that were seeping sap. I had a sticky mess on the arse of my jeans and all over my boss's chair*. I tried sponging it off with water and a little of the meths we keep in the cupboard, to not much avail. The boss is away for a good week, so any tips on getting the damn stuff off?
*However, I did smell of warm pine, which is something I associate with year 9 woodwork, which are highly pleasant memories, so that's something.

mineral turpentine will (should?) dissolve it.
however, it is also likely to dissolve everything else around it :/
don't let it dry however ... then it's permanent :(

as the solvents evaporate from the goo, the stuff left behind polymerises and becomes hard.
Turps on its own is 99% solvent.
