and submitting to the Madhouse. What follows is my review/bits I can remember from the Dark Angel finale. I don't know how to make links to other sections of a post or if it's even possible on a free account so spoilers beware.
I recorded it and was able to watch it in peace on Friday evening because my parents were at a work function, or something or other that removed them from the house. Like a couple of people have been saying, TPTB of Dark Angel knew they were going to get axed and they gave it their all, so we got the pleasure of some fantastic eps which totally included the season finale.
NORMAL: My Golden Boy! A mutant!
ALEC: We prefer genetically enhanced.
And, most poignantly, Logan to Max after CC was killed: That's the thing about freedom, it's not free.
I loved the flag; Original Cindy (whom I just adored generally) pulling Max's arm around her throat and saying "Let's go". There was something vaugely disturbing about Normal having accurate birth advice, but I can overlook that. I always love it when they manage to walk out under the bad guys' noses *realistically* and they pull it off here, I think. Plus we get to see White and his henchwo/men all bound up in emergency tape, broken noses and all, with nowhere to go. Very fun.
Max talking Joshua out of murdering White was very (frustrating) noble. Sketch and Normal being interviewed afterwards was great, esp. Normal.
Reporter: You helped birth a mutant baby?
Normal: Yes, a healthy little girl. she's beautiful etc.
One thing I think they fell down on slightly was the Max-as-Saviour thing. We *did* get a lushiously pervvy shot of Max with her brastraps down and the tattoos looked really cool. But there isn't enough time to explain what it all meant, at least to my satisfaction. (Theories, anyone?) The part that Logan translated about the event of Biblical proportions didn't ring true to me because to me, this wasn't about anything world scale, maybe not even Seattle-wide. This was about Max, Alec, Joshua & all the transgenics trying to find a spot in the world, going towards the light. The flying of the flag implies that they will get that -- provided us humans get our act together. And Max and Logan holding (gloved) hands made my heart sing. Maybe I've just got a fetish for gloves all of a sudden.
::runs off to find more Rogue-related fic:: Curse you, cupidsbow !!

I don't have time to comment about DA today, but I'd love to obsess about it with you at our next coffee date.
BTW, you can find LJ info here: The FAQ
If you scroll down to "Journal Entries," there's information on the code you need to use to make links to other sections of a post (an lj cut is the most common method). If you need more help in getting the hang of things, let me know.
