The students all had their work out on display over the last week or so, and coming back from lunch, I spied these little people walking into a brightly coloured building and begged off work to go take photos.

The figures are about 1.5cm tall, or about the tip of my index finger.

This was the first time I seriously tried to to close up work with the camera, and it's pretty damn reasonable.

The focus is sometimes just a little off, but I think I'll be able to beat it into shape with more practice.

OMG they are sososo cute. The figures are really that tiny? Students from which faculty?

In that second-last photo, they look like they're dancing.

Yup, they were really that tiny, and that cute!

They were students from the architecture faculty. They made these amazing scale models of houses and buildings and put them on display at the end of semester for viewing/marking. Whoever made this particular model added trees and little people. I've seen similar figures drawn in certain types of plans in architecture magazines, so I suspect you can buy them from somewhere, precisely to jazz up the model.

When I came into work the morning after I took the photos, everything else was intact, but the three dancers were gone -- dancing up a storm in someone's pocket, methinks [grin].
