Okay, so technically it's a photo of a wolf spider, which are fabulously scary looking.

Oh, EW EW EW EW EW. (dealing with enough spiders myself @ home right now)

Don't tell me that was in your HOME.

*grins*

It was at work. Boss was shifting a box, and suddenly jumped about a foot. I grabbed a plastic cup/terribly flash pen holder, and we went from there.

IT jumped a foot. If that jumped a foot anywhere near me, I would have jumped SIX and run SCREAMING from the room.

WELL DONE.

Wow, that's a surprisingly good looking spider!

Awesome.

We've been getting a few Huntsman spiders around here, not to mention lots of regular black house spiders that refuse to find a corner and stay there! They just wander round the house in a random fashion. Mind you, the cockroaches seem to have vanished, which I credit the spiders with. Go Team Arachnid!!!

Heh! We're getting a large contingent of daddy long legs through our house, which are theoretically keeping the mosquito population in check, although all it takes it one of the little buggers to be whining around your ear... *sigh*

I'm trying to see the cute and not quite making it - but go you for spider awesomeness!

:D I'm seeing a tiny little face: big black eyes, a squished-looking nose and a wide mouth. If I had any photoshop skills I'd be tempted to put a bowler hat on it...

I am VERY GLAD it was not at your house, otherwise I would have had to quit the committee. Killer bees, no probs.

From: [identity profile] maharetr.livejournal.com

*laughs* Hey, I'll totally take on the spiders if you tackle the killer bees. We'd make an awesome team!

*hides*

That's an awesome photo!

It looks like a cute little trilobite sitting atop a giant toy spider.

*wry grin* If it's any consolation, it's safely secured under a plastic cup. I wouldn't have gone that close if it hadn't been! ;)

I think it's beautiful. :-) But I didn't see the cute either until I really peered at the eyes, and then ... omg, it totally is!

*flaps incoherently*

You're awesome, and win the internets. Thank you so much!

On a related note, this poor thing's missing two of its legs - front left and from the looks of it, third right.

It's a veteran!

Adorable! And quite dapper.

And yeah, about his missing legs. Meep.

We had a huge wolf spider in the kitchen the other day at home.

It reminded me of a cute pic I'd seen, which was captioned:

"Spiders in Australia are so big that they have their own health bars."

OMG. This is what I don't actually miss about Australia ...

I miss proper spiders like this. They are so friendly!
