As someone who has only a passing acquaintance with the franchise, that was awesome. A little clunky in the establishing of the main characters, maybe, but the prologue nearly made me cry. Shut up. Sylar was excellent. He was actually good e that I'm only calling him Sylar because I can't remember the actor's actual name, but I know he was on Heroes. Sylar was nowhere to be seen in Star Trek *tip hat* -- actually, the whole cast was inspired, and worked really well together. I didn't even spot Eric Bana or Winona Ryder, although I'm not sure if that's just really good make up artists :P

4.5 out of 5. I'd happily go see it again.
