It really irritates me when a chunk of a trailer or paragraph of a blurb is devoted to "Creator of blah, blah, great talent crafts a spellbinding tale of intrigue and blah..." and only then gets on to the actual point: the story in question. Let the work stand (or fall over) on its own merits!

Also there's the ones which go on about how it was nominated for Cannes and won best film about rabbits at the biweekly Columbus film festival etc. (This is ok for a print ad, but in a trailer I'd like to see some footage from the actual movie please)
