Well, sort of. I've come home briefly from house sitting to check emails and the like, because I can't get into the net from next door (wise people! lol) LIfe revolves around assignments. When someone asks me how I am I have the only half-joking urge to reply "1500 words, thanks!"
I handed in my (crap, but finished) website analysis last Friday, and am now slogging my way through a feature article about gender construction in postmodernity for my cultural studies unit. It's meant to be 2000 words long, but that length terrifies me (I really have to fight to get up to counts on non-short story assignments) so I'm calling it 1750 and figuring they won't notice. They rarely do. 350 words to go, and most of the previous words have come reasonably easy. I finally learn how to do this, it finally becomes almost a pleasure and it's my last assignment!? The irony is not lost. That's due in Monday (tomorrow, so I really should get back and continue...)
Tuesday my creative writing assignment is due, and that's done, just needs a final tweak here and there. Then I'm crawling on my stomach to my Lit tutor sometime early in the week and going "Um, that essay that's due Friday? I have no idea what to do. Help me!" Then over the weekend I have two days to do most of the reading notes and integrations that I should have been doing steadily all semester, but wasn't, y'know? They're due Monday week, then it's all over. Really, really all over.
Except I've got two days work experience at Land Corp(Tuesday and Wednesday), records management and stuff, so it probably won't sink in until Thursday week, and my god, that's still so soon...
