The laptop is returning!

Hallelujah! I'm picking it up tomorrow afternoon and there will be much relieved petting. *glances around* What?

I have studied my calendar, and tentatively tested the waters re kicking my folks out of the house for a night and I'm currently musing over Saturday,18th June as a smut-reading gathering date. This has the massive advantage of doubling as my birthday celebrations (actually 21-turning is happening on 20th June). I can think of no better way to spend a birthday and the parents are going to be far more gracious about being banished if I say it's birthday party stuff. :D Any comments/questions/objections?

Closer at hand things: buoy_wonder, chaosmanor: Is there a convenient time that I could come over this weekend (or next) for software installation etc?

Yes much ball goodness on friday. Saturday is a no no and i have work sunday morning. Sunday arvo looks good though. *thinks* Yep it should work. Will post to your LJ on sunday about what time is good. Should be late arvo.

hmmmm. I have tommorow off. What time do you expect to get the laptop back? If it is before about 4 i can do it tommorow.

Laptop is back, but there are one or two things that I need to talk to the repair people about (it still won't let me stand by or hibernate, for example). Go have fun at the ball -- I won't get home until after 3pm today, so Sunday late arvo looks good :D
