See, last night/this morning I plugged in the laptop to read the end of Lovely, and it was indeed stunning and I order all and sundry to go read it. I stayed up to 2am, and at that point in time I was 5 pages behind in my study schedule. I managed to catch those five up, and did half of today's quota.

I'm bidding on eBay, and the item closes at midnight, so I had grand plans of doing the rest of the pages to waste time until midnight except I'm just sitting here refreshing/sweating and occasionally spinning off to LJ to see if antying interesting is happening. No study is getting done and it's 24 minutes to go. (First time bidder, can you tell? :D)

Unfortunately that half not done today means I'm 11 pages behind. Sunday is Spoken For, so I'm playing catch-up for two days' work on Monday. Meh, it's all worth it. I think.

22 minutes...

let me know how it goes, as a first time buyer- all your reactions, ie, getting the bid, paying for it, and receiving it in the email, including how good was your purchase...

*realises this may be pushing it a bit*

You know, just a curious-wanna-be-first-time-buyer here.... *grin*

Most certainly :D It's my dad's account, I just saw the item and went I want because X, Y, Z canI canIcanIplease?

His experiences have been pretty good, I think. One item not quite up to scratch, but so far everything's arrived etc.

I got it! I got it! Initial reaction? 2am bedtime this morning and midnight awakeness now does not make for delirious sqeeing, but it's all happening on the inside!

Will be drilling dad in the morning about how to pay etc etc.

Since you carefully avoided telling us, I have to ask.

What are you bidding on?

*nosy*

And I'm still carefully avoiding telling you. So, nuh-nuh. T'will emerge eventually, once it has been delivered to me and passed on.

*makes puppy eyes*

Will you at least tell us to whom it is being passed so we know who to harrass?

Hell, no. Tis a top secret Gift to said person, see?

On a totally unrelated note, I spectacularly failed to win the jackpot. Although acutally buying the ticket, and going through the whole process was quite fun. (First time lotto ticket buyer, see what you've done to me?) I'm thinking weekly attempts as part of the Get Megan Here Now fundraising drive can be part of my budget :D

Hee. Fine, fine. Leave us all in suspense. Be like that!

I'm sorry that you didn't win. Our drawing hasn't been yet, so I don't know if I won or not, though I'm rather suspecting or not.

It is sort of fun, isn't it? I justify it by saying that I'm perfectly willing to spend a dollar a week for the dream that I may someday be terribly, terribly wealthy.

Me thinks the lotto odds are stacked against us just a tad, but I cling anyway. I shall dream sweet dreams of money and things. It's 12.45am here, so I'm pretty sure I'm wishing you a fabulous afternoon and staggering off to bed. :-*

Just view Lotto as your weekly charity donation. Helping to keep afloat GLCS and Yirra Yaakin Theatre, and all that.

Lottery grants are fabulous things. Both my parents have been involved with grants (judging and getting them for various things) so charity donation it is! :D
