Can someone send me an email? maharetr at yahoo etc. I've been sending myself stuff (getting assignments from laptop to desktop to print them) and they haven't arrived, I've been printing from the send folder. I'm already a lot a tad panicked over my slacker-standard incomplete and due tomorrow assignment, and suddenly having to wonder if I'm not getting my mail isn't helping. Take pity? :)

eta: Well, all email systems are go (thanks guys!) but my assignments haven't turned up. *imagines her essay drafts successfully missing the correct satellite and hurtling their merry way off into outer space* Good luck, little guys!

So in amongst the various first-contact messages on satellites - and Hitler's speech from the Berlin Olympics - there is now your draft essay hurtling through space at something approaching the speed of light? Are aliens going to turn up and say "So...we've been recording your transmissions for the last 50 years, and we understand everything about your culture except two things:

1. What possessed you to make Big Brother? and
2. What the devil is 'squee'?

*cackles* Oh, if only it was that sort of essay! Then again, maybe we should be starting a campagin of fannish education for the aliens. We could turn the aliens into fangirls... it sure beats Hilter! :D

I can just imagine you, wobo and k pouncing on the poor defenceless aliens and forcing them to watch every ep of Firefly, BSG and SGA back to back. Hell, if they've conquered space travel they should have conquered sleep by now. >:)
