Monday is International Talk like a Pirate Day!!

And we're dressing up at work. There are posters saying so! At first I was all doubtful to hide my glee and then they showed me photos from last Halloween -- there were wigs and black clothes and broomsticks and jack-o-lanterns. And now it's dressing up as a pirate day. I'm getting paid to dress up as a pirate!

I'm thinking pirate-y, but also can-pass-as-not for getting to and from work. Black heeled boots (not because they're particularly pirate-y, but there's a sexiness factor that must be respected), black pants, black lace-up (alas, not very loose)shirt and a-la ascetic_hedony, sash options must be investigated. I don't think I have a proper red one, but I shall search. My clothes drawers are large and rarely fully dug through. Also, a gold hoop earring. Excited? me?

Ooh. Actually wearing AH's (or, as the case seems to be, your) sash would be, um ... I promise not to get any drool on it? [grin]

However, there are complications: this weekend is Slashcon, so there will no visiting :(. If you and AH are crossing paths before he leaves on Saturday we could do this complex passing-on-the-sash. A bit like the Olympic torch, just shorter and without a flame?

Then, of course, I would have to return the sash. Say, the weekend after that (24th-25th?) which just happens to be the weekend before Serenity is released... *cough*fireflywatching?*cough* So, y'know, it'd work...

Yup. The idea being Wobo passes sash to him, and he then passes it to me, if this is seen in time and Wobo is amenable.
