I was hanging around in the local library this afternoon, waiting for the bus turn up, when the manager calls me up to his office.
His opening line was something along the lines of:
"Unfortunately you weren't accepted for an interview but would you like to do relief work please say yes because we've already made you up a badge."
Squeee!
I feel ridiculously validated.
The utter panic I was feeling earlier this afternoon about assignments has almost evaporated. It will be back to bite with a vengence quite soon I'm sure, but for now I'm utterly delighted, even if my name has suddenly become "Jesse" (so says my name tag! :D)

Cool! Come to a gig! Get things!! (I'm actually down south at the mo' playing the last of my "limbering up" gigs. I actually feel just about ready to start letting people I know come see me play :D) When I get back I'm going to start listing *all* my gigs on the website. Gosh, I'm like, you know, a professional musician!!
I've been told the CDs have been picked up and stored safely for my return! Yay! About bloody time, too!
