On the good side I made $105 today doing photocopying and binding for 7.5 hours. On the bad side, they're probably going to send me a cheque which means I'm going to have to go several suburbs over to find a BRANCH of BankWank that will cash said cheque because said BankWank closed down our local branch and promptly set up a "neighbourhood bank" (hole in a wall).
On the horribly, horribly sucky side the legislation banning gay marriage got essentially sneaked through today, nicely concealed in the FTA. It got a sentence in the ABC news and a clip of Bob Brown essentially quietly, passionately saying "How dare you?" I know that the crack's been made, that this will eventually get overturned and blah. It still sucks. On the good side, a mate whom I'd always thought of as rather conservative rang me this afternoon (he knew about it before I did, he'd been listening to the radio all arvo) to say how much he thought it sucked too, so I was pleasantly surprised.
So, that was my day. I really should start posting on the days I'm in a good mood!
