I'm at uni, (in the very quiet library!) and sort of secretly wearing my beautiful rainbow toe-socks under otherwise "serious" boots and jeans. Thank you M! (You do have an lj identity, but I cannot remember who you are! Sorry!) I had a fabulous time last night at the Slashmas gathering. Most of the normal people in my life were looking at me like, "you're staying in Perth for a party? For an Xmas party?" Me: Yes, oh yes.
I have come into uni today to get marks back for assignments and overall unit marks if my tutors are feeling generous/don't understand the apparent rules. All tutors and subjects shall be hence forth nameless until after the official-releasey stuff on the 15th. I've ended up with two low 7s, which are fine, a hopeful 8 (but that is genuinely unknown) and a probable 6. A high 6, that won't interfere in any way with my overall average, but still! A six! Ouch! ::recovers:: My Creative Writing tutor liked my work, so happiness is still in evidence.
BankWank has apparently had a system crash, so they're just not operating. Can't deposit money, can't transfer it. Not being able to deposit it isn't so bad, but not being able to transfer is Bad. It means I will be in Melbourne with an obscene amount of money at my full disposal. With no one to tell me, "Hey, Maharet? Aren't those, like, your life savings or something?" Bad, Bad, Bad.
In sad news, Biblio is leaving online fandom because of health and stress reasons, it seems.For those who came in late, Biblio is a lovely Jack/Daniel slasher. I'd like to think the health& stress relates to RL, not fandom! The Alpha Gate remains thankfully active and in capable hands, and her work is staying up on jd-divas.
In utterly ecstatic news that means absolutely nothing to my flist, Brionhet is working on the 5th story on the Disconnected arc! If there is even the hint that she'll get it posted in the next two weeks, I'm going to go live in a net cafe while in Melbourne.
