You don't need to have much of an internet presence -- just have your phone number up attached to your business name. Hell, if you can find your way onto a business listing which will get you a link from Google, then that's enough.

The important bit: buy an answering machine. Record a message that states the name of your business and your opening hours. Set it to play whenever you're out of the shop.

That way, when I find your business listing that's been kindly put up by a customer reading 'not sure of opening hours, but closed on Tues and here's their number' I know that the customer got your number right, and what times I should trek out there to spend money with you.

It can't be that hard, surely?
