If I haven't babbled at you at some point about what I planned to do to my bedroom over my Christmas break, um, consider yourself fortunate!

Floor is currently drying, awaiting the return of the carpet that will protect the varnish from errant paint splatters while I/parents/

black_samvara (now's a good time to say I think you're fabulous, yes?) and whoever else I can rope in paint the walls.

I was organised enough to take photos of most of the process. Go me. *glances over shoulder to check for the End Times*

After a long Saturday,

black_samvara gently coaxed me out of the house down to Fremantle for dinner and some gorgeous live music at the Fly By Night club. I took photos of random pretty things.

Today has been composed of getting up far earlier than planned (good morning, period!),

black_samvara fixing my bedroom door (<3!), vacuuming, tagging a good two shelves in LibraryThing just before they shut down for maintenance (the amazing array of errors makes the baby ~~librarian~~ Jesus cry), and watching snatches of Sicko and being quietly horrified and really, really looking forward to kicking out the Liberals come Saturday.

These photos were taken way back when I first got my camera back in May, and they were my first serious "I'm going to go out and take photos of that" project. I'm posting them now because I finally realised how easy it is to get a Flickr account, and how joyously easy it is to upload and organise things there. *is slow*

Both walls of graffiti are gone now, painted over during the semester break, but for several weeks many months ago, I used the students' toilets rather than the staff to watch it all unfold.

The students all had their work out on display over the last week or so, and coming back from lunch, I spied these little people walking into a brightly coloured building and begged off work to go take photos.
