That was an unbelievably tense, claustrophobic, brilliant episode -- but for fuck's sake, can't we live? Just once, can't the gay character live?

Oh no!

See, I was so busy being happy that not only was one of my favourite british actors guesting on Doctor Who but her character was matter of factly and with no fuss gay, that I completely failed to pick up on that. *hangs head in shame*

All I can say is that at least she wasn't evil and gay, and that her death was mourned?
