That was an unbelievably tense, claustrophobic, brilliant episode -- but for fuck's sake, can't we live? Just once, can't the gay character live?

You might want to put that under a cut (just a suggestion don't hate me)

I totally agree with your point, in ANY other fandon - except in Dr Who, gay characters are actually so common that it'd be hard NOT to kill one off occasionally.

When Dragonfly and I watched it and it was revealed she was gay, Dragonfly was like 'oh wow' and I said, 'you're kidding - I would have bet money on it.

well said.

Also are you online for me to show this thing too - my personal statement that is. I am so mad right now words are not my thing.

While I think gay men don't actually do too badly (see icon :)), there are a few too many Evil Lesbians for my tastes, too. (I can think of four)

Oh no!

See, I was so busy being happy that not only was one of my favourite british actors guesting on Doctor Who but her character was matter of factly and with no fuss gay, that I completely failed to pick up on that. *hangs head in shame*

All I can say is that at least she wasn't evil and gay, and that her death was mourned?
